About the Association for Medication Education
Professional, informative education on the appropriate use of medications
Our events are where medication decision makers come together. We provide high quality education designed for all health professionals with an interest in improving medication therapy outcomes for their patients.
The mission of AME is to provide cost-effective continuing education to improve the medication-related knowledge and skills of all health professionals, including consultant pharmacists, nurses and nursing home administrators.
Our goals for expanding educational opportunities for long term care providers include:
- Providing educational opportunities for health professionals to gain current clinical and operational knowledge to positively affect the care they provide to patients.
- Developing and implementing educational programs that reflect the diverse areas of practice for health professionals and the patients they serve across the continuum of care, including: acute and post-acute facilities, community settings, and assisted living facilities.
- Offering multiple educational opportunities each year that provide quality continuing education contact hours to satisfy licensure requirements
